The Nigerian tactician was nominated alongside Sonia Bompastor, Arthur Elias, Renée Slegers, and Sarina Wiegman.

Madugu was credited as the architect for the Super Falcons coming back from two goals to defeat Morocco 3-2 in the WAFCON final.

This comes after President Bola Tinubu hosted the Super Falcons at Aso Rock, rewarding each player and staff member, including Madugu.

Madugu faces stiff competition from nominees such as Sonia Bompastor, who guided Spain to the Euro 2025 final.

Others such as Arthur Elias, recognized for his work with Brazil’s women’s team winning the Copa America.

Renée Slegers, who has made waves with her innovative approach, and Sarina Wiegman, who led England to the Euro 2025 title and was celebrated by Burna Boy.
