After joining from Racing Genk in Belgium, the forward wore the number 12 on the back of his shirt for two seasons in a row. However, he will now wear the number 32 for the next season.
The loss of academy product Kamari Doyle to Brighton & Hove on a permanent contract during the January transfer window left Southampton's number 32 empty.
Ronnie Edwards, who joined Southampton this summer from Peterborough United, will now wear the number 12 jersey.
