Sesko out Jackson in - Newcastle make move for Chelsea forward after losing out on Leipzig star's transfer
Newcastle United appears set to lose another transfer battle for a new centre-forward, with reports suggesting Benjamin Sesko is nearing a move to Manchester United.
However, the Magpies remain determined to bolster their attack, potentially opening the door for Liverpool to pursue Newcastle's coveted striker, Alexander Isak.
Newcastle wants Jackson
According to Ben Jacobs, as reported by Sportal, Newcastle's new target is Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson.
Sources claim initial talks have taken place between the two clubs regarding the Senegalese international, who is not in Enzo Maresca's plans for next season.
Chelsea are reportedly seeking at least £80 million for Jackson, but Newcastle believe £60 million would be sufficient.
Another option for Newcastle is Brentford striker Yoane Wissa. The Bees value the Congolese international at £50 million.
