Giovanni Manna’s remarks came before Antonio Conte’s men played out a 2-2 draw with Genoa on Sunday.

The point keeps them one point clear of Inter Milan in the Scudetto title race with two games remaining.

While multiple reports have suggested advanced talks with free agent De Bruyne, Manna declined to comment on specific transfers.

However, he stated that it is normal for the club to explore potential signings but deemed it absurd to discuss the transfer market with the Partenopei chasing a second title in three years.

“It is only normal that we are looking around at opportunities,” Manna told DAZN via Football Italia. “But I think it is absurd to talk about the transfer market now, when we are three games away from achieving a dream.

“Having said that, of course we are keeping an eye out and staying alert on what could happen.”
