Morocco is the only African country dishing out large amounts for its potential gold medalists at the Paris Olympics with Serbia setting aside the biggest prize purse.

The 2024 Olympics is fast approaching and several countries have announced the financial rewards they will bestow upon athletes who achieve the pinnacle of sporting success by winning a gold medal.
