Senkatuka double inspires Bright Stars past hapless Gaddafi

Striker Nelson Senkatuka scored his 12th and 13th goals of the season as Soltilo Bright Stars ran riot at Kavumba Grounds on Easter Sunday.

Fiat Cleophus and Frank Kizanyiro got the other goals as the hosts thrashed Gaddafi 4-0 in the day’s lone StatTimes Uganda Premier League game.

This was Bright Stars sixth win in 22 matches, lifting them two places up to 10th on 28 points.

Gaddafi’s’s 13th defeat in 21 matches keeps them a place just above relegation on 18 points.

At Kavumba, they fell behind a Senkatuka opener six minutes to half time.

The visitors held on but couldn’t stop Pilsner Man of the Match Cleophus when the Stars player made it 2-0 on 78 minutes.

From here on, it was only a matter of how many. Bright Stars got their third through Kizanyiro, who took full advantage of Kokas John Alou’s assist.

Ashraf Mulindi then set up Senkatuke to complete his brace and seal the hosts impressive win on 89 minutes.
