Sell me now! Garnacho demands Chelsea move, threatens to cause problems for Amorim
Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly demanded a transfer to Premier League rivals Chelsea, going as far as threatening to sit out the next six to 12 months if his wish isn’t granted.
Manager Ruben Amorim instructed him to find a new club in May after Garnacho’s frustration with a bench role in the Europa League final loss to Tottenham. United initially valued him at £70m but have lowered it to £50m, according to reports.
What next for Garnacho?
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now reported that both clubs are in talks to make a deal happen, with the player even willing to sit out an entire season if he doesn't get his way.

The 21-year-old has made 144 appearances, scoring 26 goals and delivering 22 assists for United, but the time has come for both parties to move on from an increasingly toxic relationship.
Garnacho should fit in perfectly at Chelsea, as one of the options on the left wing, alongside summer signing Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who arrived from Borussia Dortmund.
The Argentine international is keen to play consistently at a high level ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Meanwhile, Chelsea begin their season against Community Shield winners Crystal Palace, and Manchester United welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford.
