REPORT: Jose Mourinho shows support for Edoardo Bove after on-field collapse

Jose Mourinho has reportedly expressed his concern and support for Edoardo Bove after the Fiorentina midfielder collapsed during Sunday's match against Inter Milan. 

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mourinho contacted the player's parents to inquire about his condition and offer his well wishes.

The Gazzetta states that the Portuguese manager was deeply shocked when he witnessed Bove suddenly collapse on the pitch, and he felt compelled to reach out to the player's family directly to receive updates and express his support.

Mourinho has a strong connection with Bove, having given him significant playing time during their time together at Roma. 

The young midfielder made 72 appearances under Mourinho's guidance, more than with any other coach in his embryonic career.

Bove's collapse occurred early in Sunday’s Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter, prompting immediate medical attention and the fixture’s suspension. 

He was swiftly transported to the hospital, where he thankfully regained consciousness and responsiveness.

Fiorentina return to action on Wednesday when they welcome Empoli in the Coppa Italia round of 16.
