Report: Barcelona will sign Rashford on TWO conditions

Barcelona have reportedly begun working on signing Marcus Rashford permanently; however, two conditions have to be met for the Blaugrana to go ahead with the deal.

The newly minted 28-year-old is currently on loan at Barcelona. However, the LALIGA champions have a buy option for €40 million, a relative bargain for a player of Rashford's qualities. 

Barcelona are expected to have zero problems matching the transfer fee in the clause, even though certain reports have claimed that the Spanish side were looking to negotiate a lower fee. 

While the transfer fee is not expected to be a problem, according to Sport, Marcus’s current £300,000 is. Barcelona will ask him to take a significant pay cut, as their current wage bill limits how much they can pay. 

Also, the report states that the LALIGA champions want Rashford to sign a long-term contract to enable them to spread out the payment. 

Meanwhile, Rashford continues to excel at Barcelona, scoring this evening against Elche to help the Blaugrana win 3-1 and cut the deficit on Real Madrid to five points. He has six goals and five assists in all competitions.
