Report: Barcelona plotting move for Arsenal's Jorginho
Barcelona are reportedly plotting a move for Arsenal midfielder Jorginho next summer as a free agent.
The 30-year-old joined the Gunners from Chelsea in January, with Thomas Partey having fitness issues. However, following the return of the Ghanaian, and the signing of Declan Rice, Jorginho's game time has been adversely impacted and he has been linked with a move away from the club.

The Turkish Super Lig side were reportedly keen on landing the Italy international, but his agent, as Pulse Sports reported, has debunked the reports, saying the player will stay at Arsenal
“Jorginho is focused on Arsenal, therefore on the Premier League championship and the Champions League. He won't go to Fenerbahce,” Santo said, per TMW.
The Barcelona links
According to the Sun, Barcelona will make a move for the former Napoli midfielder in the summer of 2024, when his contract expires, and will be able to sign him on a pre-contract agreement as early as next January.
The Blaugrana lost their long-term pivot, Sergio Busquets in the Summer, and their finances made them settle for Oriol Romeu as his replacement, a player that does not particularly have the progressive abilities of their previous number five.
Jorginho, however, fits the bill in that department, and that could be Barcelona's reasoning in pushing for the move.
