AC Milan's Maldini names Osimhen as an inspiration
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen continues to draw plaudits from all over the world of football for his performances for Napoli this season.
Spezia midfielder Daniel Maldini is the latest to praise Osimhen, hailing the Nigerian international as a source of inspiration.
Daniel, who is on loan at Spezia from AC Milan, is the son of legendary Italian defender Paolo Maldini, who made his name with the Rossoneri.
Osimhen inspires Maldini
Napoli Magazine reported Maldini's comments on the Super Eagles star, “Osimhen inspires me,” said the 21-year-old.
“He is having an incredible championship. It’s really overwhelming,” the Spezia man said on the in-form Nigerian striker.
Daniel Maldini scored his second goal of the season for Spezia in a 2-1 win against Inter, the eternal rivals of his parent club and the closest club to Napoli on the Serie A table this season albeit 18 points away.
He left Milan for Spezia last summer on a season-long loan deal, and he has two goals in 15 appearances.
Osimhen on the other hand is enjoying a superb season for Napoli where he has scored 21 goals in 27 games across all competitions.
