The 25-year-old made 38 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists as Forest finished 7th, securing European football for the upcoming campaign.
In total, he has 118 appearances for Forest, with 18 goals and 28 assists.
Gibbs-White had also attracted interest from Manchester City this summer, but they ultimately decided against pursuing a deal.
Morgan Gibbs-White, who originally joined Nottingham Forest from Wolves in a deal potentially worth £42.5 million in August 2022, had two years left on his existing contract.
Since arriving, he has made a notable impact scoring 18 goals and delivering 28 assists across 118 appearances.
His contributions were instrumental in Forest’s impressive seventh-place Premier League finish last season, securing them a spot in European competition.
Reflecting on his journey at the club, Gibbs-White said: “From the first day I came here, it’s felt like home. The backing I’ve received from the fans, my teammates, and everyone connected to the club has been incredible. I genuinely believe in the project we’re building – and with Mr Marinakis’ vision and ambition, I’m excited to be part of something that can become truly special.”
Owner Evangelos Marinakis emphasized the club’s commitment to keeping the 24-year-old at the heart of their long-term plans:
“A number of clubs showed strong interest in Morgan, but we were clear in our intent to build our future around him. I made a promise to our supporters that we wouldn’t just compete — we’d continue to grow stronger each season. Today marks another important step on that path.”
Earlier in July, sources told BBC Sport that Forest had been angered by Tottenham’s approach to Gibbs-White.
The club made it clear that they had not granted Spurs permission to enter discussions with the player and were prepared to pursue legal action if necessary.
Premier League regulations prohibit clubs from speaking to players under contract without the explicit consent of their current team.
Despite the speculation, Gibbs-White returned to pre-season duties without issue and has featured in friendlies against both Monaco and Fulham.
