Noah Lyles seeking divine intervention in quest for first Olympic gold medal in Paris

Big talking Noah Lyles is seeking divine intervention ahead of his quest for a first Olympic gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

The triple world champion intends to win two individual gold medals in the 100m and 200m and hopefully win the 4x100m and 4x400m relay races. He has only been entered in the 4x100m relay, however, thanks to his win in the 100m at the U.S. Olympic trials.

Lyles also won the 200m in a world leading time and is looking to extend the winning streak to the Olympics. He has yet to win an Olympic gold medal and he owns only one Olympic medal, a bronze medal from the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

However, he has achieved great milestones at the World Championships, winning three consecutive titles in the 200m. Last year at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Lyles won the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay gold medals.

As he looks to achieve the same feat and more, Lyles turned to God, sharing a tweet on his X handle saying: “The Joy Of The Lord Is My Strength!”

In his quest for greatness in Paris, the three-time world 200m champion faces a stern test from the formidable field of sprinters assembled.

The American will be up against the Jamaican trio of youngsters including Kishane Thompson, the world leader, Ackeem Blake and Oblique Seville.

Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala, who is the second fastest man in the world this year, has also entered the race. Another strong opponent taking on Lyles will be youngster Letsile Tebogo.

Defending champion Marcell Jacobs will also be in the mix with South Africa’s Akani Simbine also in the hunt for a win.
