Lyles' victory in a 50-meter dash secured a narrow 4-3 overall win for the human team in the "Humans vs. Robots" showdown.

The competition pitted top athletes against advanced machines to explore the capabilities of artificial intelligence in physical contests. The series of events had reached a tense 3-3 deadlock before Lyles stepped onto the track for the final, decisive race.

The star-studded event featured a variety of challenges. Strongman Hafþor Julius Bjornsson triumphed in a test of strength, while former MLB player Eric Sim out-hit his robotic counterpart in a baseball challenge.

However, the machines proved superior in football, shooting, and basketball. After a human win in a separate racing event was offset by a robot victory in golf, the score was tied, placing all the pressure on Lyles.

Noah Lyles Was in A Class of His Own

Tasked with winning the series, Lyles faced three progressively faster robots in a 50-meter sprint. He comfortably defeated the first two opponents, showcasing his world-class speed. The final challenger, however, was a formidable machine designed to mimic a cheetah and capable of reaching 22 miles per hour.

In a dramatic finale, Lyles took an early lead, but the robotic panther began to close the distance, creating a nail-biting finish. The sprinter dug deep and held on to cross the line just ahead of the machine, sealing the 4-3 victory for humanity.

Reflecting on the outcome, MrBeast acknowledged the rapid advancement of AI but celebrated the current human advantage. "One day robots will overtake us," he commented, "but in 2025, humans still have an edge."

This was not Lyles' first appearance in a MrBeast production. He previously raced against streamer IShowSpeed for a $100,000 prize, which he won and pledged to donate to charity. He also participated in a series of unconventional races against MrBeast himself, who competed from a moving bathtub, a mobile kayak, and a motorized bed, with Lyles winning each time.
