Nigerian forward Toluwalase Arokodare has taken to social media to share a link up with Afrobeat sensation Divine Ikubor, known by his stage name Rema.

Arokodare, who plays for Belgian side Genk in the Juliper, met the Nigerian music star during a show in Belgium.

Rema s currently on a tour of seven countries and was in Belgium where he performed at the Les Ardentes.

The Les Ardentes is a Belgian multi-day electro-music festival which takes place yearly in the Belgian city of Liege.

Arokodare gives Rema a gift.

Rema and Omah Lay are the two Nigerians in a star-studded lineup of performers for the 2023 edition of the show.

Following their link-up, the striker presented a package with his name and number to Rema, with the Nigerians hugging in the end.

Arokodare at Genk

Last season ended on a sad note for the 22-year-old striker and his Genk following an end-of-season collapse.

Toluwalase Arokodare had Genk dreaming, but his beautiful goal was not enough in the end.

The giant forward joined the club in January from Ligue 2 side Amiens, scoring two goals in 11 appearances.

However, Genk ended the season without a title after losing on the final day of the season dramatically to Yusuf Alhassan’s Royal Antwerp.
