Nigeria vs Algeria: Super Falcons drop Oshoala, Alozie in major line-up shake-up

Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has shaken up the starting lineup ahead of the crucial clash against Algeria, making a total of eight changes from the previous match.

Notably, star forward Asisat Oshoala and defender Michelle Alozie have been dropped from the starting XI, signaling a fresh approach for the team as they aim to maintain their unbeaten run in the group stage.

Among the changes, WAFCON debuts are set for Sikiratu Isah, Miracle Usani, and Shukurat Oladipo, injecting new energy and enthusiasm into the squad.

The trio lead the changes in defense with Ashleigh Plumptre and Osinachi Ohale also making way after back-to-back clean sheets against Tunisia and Botswana.

Leading the attack will be the in-form Chinwendu Ihezuo, who has been red-hot in front of goal and is expected to spearhead Nigeria’s efforts to secure all three points.

Ihezuo has been a super-sub so far, scoring two goals in two games in the opening two games and gets the her first start in the competition.
