The Nigerian contingent delivered commanding performances at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, securing victories across various weight categories.
Gold Rush in Boxing
Joy Ojo claimed Nigeria's first boxing gold in the Women's 57kg category, securing victory by walkover against her Algerian opponent, Selmouni Chahira.
Dolapo Omole added to Nigeria's gold medal tally in the Men's 57kg category, with the referee stopping the contest against Sigauque Amando of Mozambique.
Patricia Mbata clinched Nigeria's third boxing gold with a 4-0 victory over Marbrouk Molka of Tunisia in the Women's 75kg category.
Adam Olaore secured gold by knocking out Kuadjovi Kevin Prodence LK of Togo in the first round of the Men's 92kg category, while Cynthia Ogunsemilore emerged victorious with a 5-0 win over Rahma Mohamed of Egypt in the Women's 60kg category.
Blessing Oraekwe, Jacinta Umunnakwe, and Ifeanyi Onyekwere further bolstered Nigeria's gold tally with dominant performances in their respective bouts.
Medals Tally and Closing Ceremony
With 121 medals, including 47 gold, 33 silver, and 41 bronze, Team Nigeria finished second on the medals table behind Egypt.
