Neymar joins Al-Hilal after agreeing to $300m salary
Brazilian superstar Neymar has officially completed a move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal and is set to earn up to $300 million during his two-year stay at the Saudi Pro League side.

The 31-year-old forward was keen to leave Paris Saint Germain after six years at the club, where he suffered from injuries and off-pitch problems with the club’s hierarchy and fans.
Towards the end of the 2022/23 season, Neymar’s house in Paris was beset by fans who demanded his departure from the club, and their pleas appear to have been the final straw for the Brazilian, who put in a transfer request this summer.

After rumours of a potential return to Barcelona, which he left to join PSG, Neymar eventually chose to join Al-Hilal, who were able and willing to pay his €90m transfer fee, unlike the Blaugrana, who are financially strapped at the moment.

Neymar will join the squad immediately after the transfer and could enter the first-team squad after returning to full fitness from an ankle injury to play in PSG’s pre-season tour of Japan.
The Brazilian signed a two-year contract with Al-Hilal until 2025 and will earn a base salary of $300m, which could rise to $400 million depending on marketing returns.
