Napoli was not like this — Osimhen reacts to incredible show from Galatasaray

Galatasaray fans are in love with Victor Osimhen, and yesterday, they showed it again with an elaborate display of affection that touched the Nigerian.

Although only at Rams Park on loan, Osimhen's infectious passion and energy have endeared him to Cim-Bom fans, and yesterday, they prepared something special for him.

As Pulse Sports reported, the Nigerian striker was mobbed by adoring young mascots before the team’s clash against Sivasspor, with one tiny fan’s mini-version of his iconic protective mask stealing the show. 

As Osimhen stepped onto the pitch, the towering striker was swarmed by a group of starstruck children, their excitement palpable. 

In a particularly touching scene, he scooped up one delighted young girl who proudly wore a pint-sized replica of the protective mask that has become synonymous with Osimhen’s warrior-like presence on the field. 

Osimhen went on to score a brace in the match, obliterating his personal best set during his time at Napoli, as he reached 33 club goals in a season. 

After the match, Osimhen addressed the pregame incident, expressing his surprise and appreciation. The Nigerian has always been a fan favourite everywhere he goes, but he admitted that no fanbase has displayed it the way Galatasaray have. 

"It's honestly a great feeling,” Osimhen said, per Ntvspor. “I thank God for the inspiration and those masks. I had never seen anything like this until I came to Galatasaray. I will continue to do this. I want to continue the way they know me. This makes me very happy.

Meanwhile, the Napoli loanee also reached to his new career milestone in the game against Sivasspor and he expressed his elation that he achieved it at one of the biggest clubs in the world, Galatasaray.
