Naija jollof win again as Falconets beat Ghana in WAFU B Women's Cup opener
Nigeria's Falconets kicked off their WAFU B Women’s Cup campaign with a decisive 3-1 victory over Ghana's Black Princesses on Saturday.
Janet Akeremkowei was the star of the show, scoring a brace for Nigeria. The Bayelsa Queens striker opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 40th minute and then doubled the lead for Moses Aduku's side just before halftime.

Ghana fought back early in the second half, with Sarah Nyarko pulling one back just four minutes after the restart to reduce the deficit.

However, Nigeria sealed the win when Favour Nkwocha found the net two minutes from full time, putting the game beyond Ghana's reach.
The Falconets will now turn their attention to their next match against the Young Amazons of the Benin Republic on Sunday morning.
