Mr Eazi's Cape Town Tigers defeat Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club in Nile Conference opener
The Cape Town Tigers of South Africa recorded a 75-68 victory against the Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club of Guinea in a Basketball Africa League group stage fixture played on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
It was the second game of the Nile Conference after reigning Egyptian champions Al Ahly blew out Clube Ferroviário da Beira of Mozambique in the opener.
While Al Ahly are favorite in the Nile Conference, Cape Town made a huge statement with a clutch win.
Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club started out hot putting up 22 points and taking a six-point lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Cape Town Tigers and Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club traded buckets in the second quarter but the Guinean side were able to take take a five-point lead to the halftime break.
It was in the third quarter that the Cape Town Tigers began their come back holding Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club to just eight points to tie the game going to the final quarter.
Both sides went at it but the Cape Town Tigers put up 28 points to hold off the Seydou Legacy Athlétique Club and record a clutch seven-point victory.

Top performers
Central African Republic star Evans Ganapamo was the catalyst for the Cape Town Tigers.
The 28-year-old Ganapamo put up 15 points, seven rebounds, and one assist in 39 minutes of action.
Zaire Wade son of NBA legend Dwayne Wade put up nine points, five rebounds, and five assists in 26 minutes of action.

Nigerian-American professional basketball player Michael Patrick Gbinije also had a big game with eight points, six rebounds and one assists in 32 minutes of action.
