After a cagey first half that saw few chances, Simon produced the decisive moment shortly after the restart. Paris FC captain Maxime Lopez skipped past a challenge from Monaco substitute Stanley Idumbo before finding Simon on the edge of the box.

The Super Eagles star’s initial shot took a slight deflection and looped awkwardly over goalkeeper Philipp Kohn into the back of the net.

The goal, Simon’s third of the season, proved enough to hand Paris FC their second league win of the campaign.

Despite a late push from the hosts, including a brilliant save by Kevin Trapp to deny Maghnes Akliouche, Paris FC held firm to secure a memorable away win.
