Maybe 7 or 8 children – Sadio Mané, 32, makes bold admission 1 year after marrying 18 y/o wife Aisha Tamba

Former Liverpool and Bayern Munich star Sadio Mane, has revealed his aspirations for family life, a year after marrying his young wife, Aisha Tamba.

 The Senegalese football icon dropped the bombshell during an interview with Senepeopleplus.

Pulse Sports first reported that Mané, 32, tied the knot with Aisha in a traditional Islamic ceremony on January 7, 2024, in Keur Massar, a suburb of Dakar. 

The bride, who was 18 at the time, reportedly met Mané two years prior through family connections.

 Despite a 13-year age gap, the union received full blessings from Aisha’s family, with her father praising Mané’s humility and respect for tradition.

When asked about his plans for children, Mané told the aforementioned outlet:

'Funny question. If it is just a choice, I would say 3 or 4. Except that it is God who decides and I will thank Him no matter what.'

 However, the Teranga Lions star, who is one of the highest-paid African footballers in the world, cheekily left the door open for more, adding, “Maybe seven or eight children, you never know.

"Whatever the number is, I will accept it and thank God.”

The story of Sadio and Aisha's widely publicised marriage has captivated fans.

 Aisha, who was still a student when they met, completed her studies with Mané’s support, earning her diploma with distinction. 

According to family sources, the marriage was agreed upon when Aisha was still a minor, with a decision to wait until she turned 18.

Now a year into their marriage, Aisha is reportedly considering higher education, with Mané’s unwavering encouragement. 

The footballer and his wife hail from Senegal's Casamance region, which is in the south of the country and around 275 miles from Dakar.
