With Gor Mahia and Leopards now separated by just two points, the 99th Mashemeji Derby on April 26 could yet decide the destiny of Kenyan football’s post coveted prize, adding an extra layer of pressure, intrigue and scrutiny to the match.

Leopards will be the host team with the match set to be played at Nyayo Stadium and Ingwe have provided key details about tickets for the crucial encounter.

Price and Where to Buy Derby Tickets

There will be a reward for the early birds as those who purchase terrace tickets between April 14-19 will get them for Ksh300 while it will cost you Ksh500 if you buy from April 20-23. For those seeking terrace tickets from April 24-25, it will set them back Ksh1,000.

VIP tickets, however, remain Ksh2,000 for all dates. The tickets will be purchased online via gigs.madfun.com/event/793.

Leopards won the corresponding fixture 1-0 last December, when they were the away team, and are looking for a rare double over bitter rivals Gor Mahia, which would propel them to the top of the table, assuming both teams win their upcoming fixtures before the derby.

Looking to Maximize on Gate Collection

That would give Ingwe a physiological edge in the title race as they look to claim their first Premier League crown since 1998.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia could open up a five-point lead with a victory in the derby and make it difficult for their arch rivals to get closer in the final five games of the season.

Besides the three points, the Mashemeji Derby is also a key revenue generator for both clubs and Leopards will be looking for a full house to maximize gate collection. The last two meetings between Gor Mahia and Leopards held at Nyayo Stadium generated over ksh7 million for either side.
