Marcus Rashford: Man Utd star’s dream move in jeopardy after transfer twist

Marcus Rashford's desired transfer to Barcelona faces significant hurdles, with Athletic Club’s Nico Williams' imminent arrival being a major factor. 

Barcelona are said to be hesitant about Manchester United's £40 million valuation and prefer a loan deal.

Rashford, whose Aston Villa loan concludes on June 30, has an uncertain future, and his £325,000-per-week wages and a hamstring injury sustained at Villa have complicated matters. 

As reported by TEAMtalk, the Red Devils are determined to sell Rashford permanently to fund squad rebuilding, ruling out his return to Old Trafford.

The news states that Serie A clubs are emerging as potential destinations, with Italian champions Napoli, AC Milan and Como all keen on a deal, with Rashford reportedly open to an overseas transfer. 

The Partenopei seek a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, while Milan view Rashford as a potential successor to Rafael Leao. 

United sources suggest Rashford's departure is inevitable, but predict negotiations may extend until the transfer window's final days.
