Manzoki's shirt nine still rested, as Vipers reveal squad numbers

Shirt '09' at Vipers SC will stay rested for another season as it wasn't assigned to any of the current players following the squad number reveal.

It will make it at least two seasons until it's last bearer Cesar Manzoki departed the St Mary's Stadium Kitende for Chinese outfit Dalian Pro.

Manzoki stays one of the best players to ever play for the club in it's history.

His demeanor, fight, goal scoring prowess and never-say-never attitude made him such a cult hero that he's still celebrated at Kitende to-date.

Vipers has since recruited a number of forwards including Giancarlo Rodriguez, Fumador Asiwome, Mohamed Salem Ekbad, Rodriguez Shamamba among others, yet none will take the prestigious number '09'.

Giancarlo will thus take on shirt 26, formerly won by Najib Yiga, while Asiwome, Salem and Shamamba will wear 31, 07 and 17, respectively.

The other new recruits including Richard Matovu, Grant Matsiko, Luiz Otavio Tinga, David Bagoole, Patrick Mbowa, will wear 03, 28, 08, 15 and 18 respectively.
