Manchester United plot move for Newcastle's tough-tackling midfielder
Manchester United have reportedly renewed its interest in signing Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff.
According to The Chronicle, the Red Devils' interest is genuine, and are keen to wrap up a deal as soon as possible.
The Red Devils were first linked to Longstaff in 2019, during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure, when he was just 21 years old and had only nine Premier League appearances under his belt.

At the time, United were deterred by Newcastle's £50m valuation, and the interest eventually faded.
However, with Longstaff now approaching the final year of his contract and facing increased competition for a starting spot under Eddie Howe, United have rekindled their interest.
Longstaff is likely to fall behind Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, and Joelinton in Howe's preferred midfield trio, making a move to United a potentially attractive option.
The Red Devils are also reportedly pursuing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as they seek to bolster their attacking lineup.
