Man City vs Arsenal: Fans left face travel troubles ahead of the Community Shield
Today's match at Wembley between Arsenal and the reigning Premier League champions Manchester City is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
Both teams will be looking to go into the game with a winning mindset as they prepare for the new season.
However, after learning that Wembley Central Station is closed, travelling supporters are faced with a horrible scenario.
Fans face Wembley troubles
The Bakerloo and London Overground lines will be closed due to anticipated engineering maintenance.
There will undoubtedly be a large crowd because both Arsenal and Man City sold out their allotted ticket numbers.
The TfL website as reported by the Sun, states that rail substitute services have been set up to guarantee that spectators may still arrive at the station in time for the event.
Due to the closure, there is no longer service on the Bakerloo line between Stonebridge Park and Harrow and Wealdstone.
Meanwhile, there is no service on the Overground line between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction.
From Stonebridge Park all the way to Watford Junction, the 718 travels along the designated special bus route.
The last time Arsenal won the Shield was in 2020 when they defeated Liverpool on penalties and Arteta will be looking to get one over Pep Guardiola.
