Selected 13th overall in the first round on April 14, 2026, Madina Okot is among the first wave of rookies to benefit from the league’s historic new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Thanks to the restructured rookie scale for 2026, Madina Okot’s financial future is secured with a fully guaranteed deal.

Under the 2026 CBA, $270,000 is the base salary for any player, but draft picks are paid more based on their specific slot.

Since Madina Okot was a first-round selection at 13th overall, she qualifies for a higher fixed salary tier reserved for top-tier prospects.

Her starting pay will be about $289,133, ensuring she earns a premium above the league's rookie minimum. Furthermore, because she was taken in the first round, this entire amount is fully guaranteed, protecting her earnings regardless of roster changes.

The four-year deal scales annually, reaching an estimated $373,768 (KES 48.4 million) in its final year. Beyond her base salary, Madina Okot’s status as the first Kenyan in the WNBA makes her a prime candidate for lucrative brand partnerships.
