Last goal: Belgian league hails Boniface's final act before historic switch

This nostalgic post highlights Boniface's impressive contribution to the Belgian club before he moved to the Bundesliga.

During a match against KRC Genk, Boniface scored a fantastic equaliser after Genk had taken the lead. The goal came thanks to his skill and teamwork, particularly with fellow African player Simon Adingra, who played a crucial role in setting up the opportunity. 

The league's Instagram post captioned the moment as a "throwback to 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚’𝙨 last goal in Belgium."

Boniface had a remarkable season with Union St. Gilloise, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists. 

His performances were instrumental in the club's success, including their run to the Europa League quarterfinals and a close finish in the Belgian Pro League, where they ultimately came second behind Genk on goal difference.

After his successful stint in Belgium, Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2023. 

His move to the Bundesliga marked a significant step in his career, as he became a key player for Leverkusen. 

In his debut season, Boniface played a decisive role in helping the club win their first-ever Bundesliga title, scoring 14 goals and contributing significantly despite dealing with injuries.

Currently, he continues to make an impact in the Bundesliga, scoring seven goals in the ongoing season but has lost his position as a vital part of Leverkusen's starting eleven 

However, his achievements have not only elevated his personal career but have also left a lasting impression on the clubs he has represented.
