Las Palmas vs Real Sociedad: Umar Sadiq's La Real drop more points against Pio Pio

Nigeria’s Umar Sadiq and his club Real Sociedad have continued their poor and shaky start to the season with another poor display. 

Real Sociedad dropped further points after another stalemate in the LALIGA.

They made it three consecutive draws so far in the new season after a 0-0 draw against Las Palmas on Friday night. 

Super Eagles striker Sadiq was in action as could not help Sociedad register their first win of the season.

The 26-year-old was again a second half substitute as he continued to build on his fitness and return after he recovered from a damaged anterior crucial ligament.

He featured for 46 minutes but was expertly caged by the home side did not even allow him to manage a single shot.

Sadiq, however, created one chance and made one key pass to show there was more to his game even though his teammates failed to make it count.

Meanwhile, the game between the two sides saw Las Palmas turn out to be a difficult side to break down.

The Pio Pio attempted more shots and created more chances than their visitors but faced a determined Alex Remiro in goal for Sociedad.

The goalkeeper proved to be the ultimate bulwark and the reason why Sadiq and his teammates left with at least a share of the spoils.

Remiro delivered a man-of-the-match-worthy performance as he made five outstanding saves, including two excellent late ones that ensured Sociedad picked up a point on the road.
