His stunning hat-trick against Barcelona could not save Real Madrid from defeat, but it etched his name into club history.
Mbappe achieves what Ronaldo, Benzema, and Raul never could
In just his first season in La Liga, Mbappe has done what some of the greatest names in Real Madrid history failed to accomplish: score a league hat-trick against Barcelona.
Not even Cristiano Ronaldo, with all his goal-scoring glory, managed to net three against the Catalan giants in a single La Liga Clasico.

In fact, the last Real player to pull it off was Iván Zamorano all the way back in 1995. Mbappe’s clinical finishing and pace tore through Barcelona’s defence like paper, leaving fans and pundits in awe.
Mbappe masterclass not enough
With key injuries plaguing Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, Real Madrid entered the final Clásico of the season under serious pressure.
And while the team ultimately fell short in a 4-3 defeat, Mbappe stood tall as the undeniable bright spot, as the Frenchman took the game by the scruff of the neck, even in an eventual defeat.
While others struggled to impose themselves, Mbappe played like a man possessed. Even in defeat, he reminded the world why he is football’s most feared forward.
