Kisii Sports Club to Host Over 100 Golfers for Golf Tournament

Kisii Sports Club is set to host more than 100 golfers on February 28 for the highly anticipated CBK Golf Tournament, a flagship event expected to attract top amateur players from across the region.

The one-day competition promises a thrilling blend of sporting excellence, networking, and financial literacy engagement.

The tournament has quickly grown into one of the most sought-after fixtures on the club’s calendar, reinforcing Kisii’s position as a rising destination for competitive golf in Kenya.

The competition will be played under the Stableford format, a scoring system designed to encourage aggressive yet strategic play.

Unlike traditional stroke play, Stableford awards points based on net scores per hole. This ensures golfers of varying handicaps can compete fairly, making the contest both inclusive and highly competitive.

With over 100 participants expected to tee off, the format will maximise participation while maintaining excitement across all categories.

Golfers will battle for top honours in a wide range of categories, headlined by the coveted Overall Winner title. The tournament will also crown the Men’s Winner and Ladies’ Winner, alongside 1st and 2nd Runners-Up in the main categories.

Competition will further be segmented into Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3, each featuring Winners, 1st Runners-Up, and 2nd Runners-Up to ensure balanced competition across handicap levels.

Additional accolades will recognise the Guest Winner and Guest Runners-Up, the Sponsor Winner together with 1st and 2nd Runners-Up, as well as the Senior Winner and Junior Winner.

To add an extra layer of excitement, skill-based prizes will also be up for grabs. Awards for Longest Drive in both the Men’s and Ladies’ categories, Nearest to the Pin, and the Best Effort Award will ensure that every participant, regardless of handicap, has something meaningful to compete for.
