Kenya vs Madagascar: Harambee Stars Predicted Lineup Against the Barea
Harambee Stars will step onto the Kasarani Stadium turf hoping to make history at the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN 2024).
Kenya have made it to the quarter-final where a meeting with Madagascar awaits at Kasarani Stadium on Friday evening and if they win, they will make it to the semi-final in what is their debut appearance at the tournament.
To do that, coach Benni McCarthy has to get his tactics spot on yet again and that means selecting a team that will get a win without much struggle just like they had done at the group stage.

So, how are Harambee Stars likely to lineup?
Goalkeeper: Byrne Omondi
Having been rested for Sunday’s match against Zambia, the new Gor Mahia goalkeeper is set to return in goal.
Right-back: Lewis Bandi
He has impressed in the last two matches and it is hard to see Daniel Sakari dislodging him.
Left-back: Siraj Mohammed
The left-back had a good game against Morocco and with more defensive work needed, he is likely to edge out captain Aboud Omar.
Central defence: Sylvester Owino
The ever-present Gor Mahia defender has been unchallenged throughout and will keep his spot unless he suffers a late unfortunate setback.
Central defence: Michael Kibwage
Another top performer since his appearance against Morocco, the new Gor Mahia man will likely get the nod ahead of Alphonce Omija yet again.
Central midfield: Suleiman Okwaro
The KCB man started on the bench against Zambia but is set to return to the starting XI on Friday.
Central midfield: Alpha Onyango
He commanded the midfield well yet again against Zambia and it is hard to see him dropped.
Attacking midfield: Austin Odhiambo
He did not light up Kasarani on Sunday but the two-goal hero’s creativity and goals will be needed.
Right wing: Boniface Muchiri
Harambee Stars seem to have a cutting edge in attack with him in the team and his movement and eye for a good pass will be key to breaking down Madagascar.
Left wing: Ben Stanley Omondi
He has been bright out wide although his decision-making has been letting him down and also tracks back to help out defensively.
Striker: Ryan Ogam
Having been the match winner in the last two games, the Tusker striker is the go-to man in attack and his team-mates just need to find him as he is good in and around the box.
