The rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers was renewed once again.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 111-101 led by Jayson Tatum, who finished with 40 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.
LeBron James was in the locker room due to a strained groin, but the Lakers managed to cut a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter to just ten points.

James left the game halfway through the fourth quarter, having ended with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists.
The Celtics won for the fourth time in a row thanks to 31 points from Jaylen Brown.
Boston won its 18th NBA Finals, and Luka Doncic scored 34 points and pulled down eight rebounds in his first game back in Boston since he and the Dallas Mavericks lost Game 5 of the series.
In the third quarter, the Celtics kept the Lakers to 21% field goal shooting (5 of 23), while Los Angeles also committed six turnovers.
On Monday, the Celtics host the Jazz, and the Lakers go to Brooklyn.
