‘It’s a dream’ - Lookman wins MOTM award, expresses joy ahead of CAF POTY

Atalanta's Lookman has been playing well so far this season, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.

In yesterday's narrow 2-1 victory over AC Milan in Bergamo, the winger showed why he is the favourite for the CAF POTY award.

Lookman's late winner sealed the win for the Europa League winners and moved top of the Serie A table.

Lookman has said he is happy to be nominated for the CAF Player of the Year award, which will take place in December.

Speaking to Sky Italia as revealed by Football Italia, he said, “It’s an honour to be nominated for this prestigious award. Of course, anyone who is nominated would like to win it. It’s a dream!”

He also stated his aspirations to win the 2024 African Footballer of the Year award come December.

Atalanta currently leads the Serie A table with two points above Napoli, who still have a game in hand against Lazio.
