When Garry and Rakhmonov co-headline UC 310 this weekend, Garry will have the chance to establish his claim for a first attempt at the welterweight title.

Garry, who has never lost in his professional career, will be a huge underdog when he steps into the cage on December 7.

In a recent video posted to his YouTube account, Adesanya discussed the same topic and dissected this weekend's Garry vs. Rakhmonov fight.

He said: “I think he’s going to be able to touch Shavkat. But he’s got to be careful.

"Use that jab, use the teep, keep Shavkat away. … For me, I like this fight. I’mma go with Ian Garry. I think it’s going to go to a decision.”

Shavkat is undefeated and was supposed to fight UFC Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad before an injury to his toe.

The Kazakhstan-born fighter can now make history but faces a dangerous Garry according to Adesanya.

The Nigerian stylebender since his loss to South Africa's Dricus Du Plessis has been previewing upcoming fight on social media.

Adesanya is expected to return to the Octagon in early 2025.
