'I'm not saying this to underestimate Galatasaray' - Ex-referee advises Osimhen to join top European team

Osimhen has become one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, given the ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

The forward has been in excellent form and his contributions have been vital in Galatasaray's pursuit of a domestic double this season, as he has played a crucial role in keeping the Yellow-Reds in contention.

The 26-year-old contributed to his team’s 5-1 victory over Eyüpspor away from home on Sunday afternoon.

In an interview on the BTV YouTube channel, as reported by Habersarikirmizi, Cakar openly discussed his views on Osimhen's future.  

He said, "If I had a 26-year-old son like Victor Osimhen, I would want him to play in big teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Inter.

"I'm not saying this to underestimate Galatasaray, but unfortunately these teams are better than Galatasaray, and I have to speak realistically."

Cakar encouraged Galatasaray supporters to remain optimistic despite the possibility of Osimhen's exit, acknowledging the significant contribution the player has made since joining the team.  

He concluded, "Galatasaray fans should not be upset if Victor Osimhen leaves. The man came and did his part. He did not only score statistics at Galatasaray, he acted by considering everyone.

"Osimhen may leave but you may see that he will come back again when he is over 30 years old."

With the summer transfer window drawing closer, the future of Osimhen continues to be a major subject of discussion.
