‘I’m not here to lose games’ - Bruno Fernandes slams teammates following loss to Brighton
Man United have struggled with their performance this season, having failed to challenge for the Premier League title.
The team's problem was compounded on Sunday after they were handed a 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford by Brighton.
The result leaves Ruben Amorim’s team in 13th place on the Premier League table, 10 points above the relegation zone.
Fernandes’ reaction to Brighton's loss
Fernandes responded firmly when asked if this slump is the new norm for United, who haven't played this badly at home since their Newton Heath days.
Speaking to Sky Sports, via Daily Mail, he said, “‘It can’t be. I understand the perspective from the outside. But we can’t be comfortable thinking that this is OK. It’s not.
“I’m not here to lose games and be in the position we are in at the moment. But I know that no-one in that dressing room is and if someone is, they can’t be here.”
“It doesn’t matter to me. It’s another loss to us. It doesn’t matter how many times they’ve won against us.
“I remember in the past where they haven’t won a game here. That’s not going to change anything.
“The main thing that is going change for us is we didn’t get the three points today. Congratulations to them, they did a good game and they deservedly won the game.”
United have now lost six of its past seven Premier League encounters with the Seagulls, including all three of those encounters at Old Trafford.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y6ujOItm_Y
