I'm not an agent — Iwobi opens up on Arsenal star he wants at Fulham

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi expressed his desire to see Arsenal winger return to Fulham despite having an unsuccessful loan spell last season. 

The 25-year-old was on loan at Craven Cottage last season, but he only managed to play 12 matches, as injuries kept him out from December until the end of the season. 

However, Nelson had a good start with two goals and an assist in his first five games. Hence, the Cottagers are looking to sign him permanently, but the deal has yet to be completed, with the end of the transfer window fast approaching. 

Iwobi is excited about the prospect of his fellow Hale End Academy graduate joining Fulham on a permanent deal, highlighting the attributes he brings to the table. 

He hinted that he and some other players are in constant communication with the winger to understand the progress of the deal and pressure him to make the switch. 

“His style of play is very explosive. He is very sharp. I just hope that he returns fit and healthy as soon as possible,” Iwobi said, per The Evening Standard. 

“It would be nice for him to come back to Fulham because we know the sort of player he is. I can try to be an agent – but I am not!

“There is a specific group chat – I am not going to name names – but a lot of people are pressuring him, trying to find out what is going on! Me ,I am not one of them.”

Meanwhile, in another interview, Iwobi stated unequivocally that he intended to play for the Nigerian Super Eagles at the AFCON despite conflicting commitments with Fulham.
