‘I’m in love with him’ — Lamine Yamal’s 25-year-old girlfriend Nicki Nicole confesses

Nicki Nicole has opened up on her widely-reported romance with Barcelona’s Golden boy Lamine Yamal.

The 25-year-old singer has made her feelings clear about the 18-year-old Spanish sensation.

The pair have been at the centre of speculation since July when Nicole attended the teenager’s 18th ‘mafia-themed’ birthday party in Barcelona.

 It was there that the first sparks of their romance were reported to have been seen.

Nicole has since made little effort to hide her affection. 

Speaking at a Desigual event in Barcelona where she fronted the launch of their Studio collection, she smiled and declared to reporters about her relationship with Lamine Yamal: “Yes, I am very much in love, very happy, very content.” 

She also revealed that both Yamal and her fellow artist Rosalia have taught her how to say t’estimo “I love you” in Catalan. 

For Nicole, sincerity and affection remain central to any romance, and she said she has been overwhelmed by “so much love” from the people of Barcelona since arriving.

Yamal appears equally taken.

 Spain teammate Nico Williams teased him in camp after noticing him staring at a picture of Nicki Nicole on his phone lock screen. 

“Why are you smiling, bro? Why are you smiling at your phone, bro? My boy is in love,” Williams joked, drawing laughter from the dressing room.

The romance between Yamal and Nicole has developed at remarkable speed. 

It began with her presence at his 18th birthday in July.

And then, that was followed by Yamal appearing at Nicole’s own celebrations in late August. 

Since then, Nicole has been spotted spending extended periods in Barcelona, dividing time between her musical commitments and supporting Yamal. 

The two have been seen walking together in the city, attending private dinners and enjoying quiet moments away from cameras.

The pair have also taken short trips together, including their two-day getaway to Monaco last month.

Yamal’s subtle gestures, such as keeping her photograph as his phone wallpaper, have also spoken volumes on how much their romance is blossoming amid reports of a breakup.

Rumours have swirled around the seven-year age difference and the intensity of their connection, but what is undeniable is that they are no longer hiding.

After scoring in Spain’s 6-0 World Cup qualifying win over Turkey, Yamal returned to Barcelona this week as the champions prepare to face Valencia in LaLiga.

The defending champions will look to get back to winning ways having dropped points on the road against Rayo Vallecano on matchday 3.
