The 40-year-old Portuguese who has recently been reported to have reached billionaire status, was seen surprising Al Nassr’s chef with a birthday cake.

The touching video, which went viral across social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram, shows Ronaldo, a picture of humility, making his way to the club’s kitchen with a massive cake. 

He was accompanied by a musician playing a piano accordion as teammates and staff sang "Happy Birthday" to the visibly emotional chef, Mohammed Kadmiri, as reported by Marca.

The celebration culminated in a warm embrace between the Al Nassr captain and the club’s chef, a gesture that has been widely praised by fans for its sincerity and thoughtfulness. 

The heartwarming news follows a significant development in Ronaldo's professional life: a record-breaking contract extension with Al Nassr. 

Pulse Sports reported that Ronaldo has signed a staggering new two-year deal with the Saudi Pro League side, making it the most lucrative contract in the history of sports. 

The renewed deal is reportedly worth a basic $628 million over two years, which breaks down to an eye-watering $623,000 per day in base salary alone. 

The contract extension will see CR7 continue with Al Nassr past his 42nd birthday. 

The deal, which includes a reported $31 million signing bonus and a 15% ownership stake in the club, is what has helped push Ronaldo's net worth past the billion-dollar mark, cementing his status as the first footballer in history to achieve this milestone from his playing career. 

Despite turning 40 in February, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy age with his impressive performances. 

The world’s most followed footballer, has already kicked off pre-season in typical style, getting on the scoresheet in Al Nassr's pre-season friendly against French side Toulouse.

His performance in the match showcased his enduring class and goalscoring prowess, a continuation of his form from the previous season where he was the Saudi Pro League's top scorer.
