Dele-Bashiru has demonstrated promise in European games after joining Lazio from Hatayspor last summer.

The midfielder has helped his club win the top spot in their group by scoring two goals and providing two assists in six games.

Despite his European form, Dele-Bashiru has struggled in the home league, scoring just two goals in fourteen games.

In the forthcoming games, Rambaudi thinks the 24-year-old may outperform his present productivity and establish himself as a vital member of Lazio's squad.

"However, it is fair to say that the choices were made to give continuity to the group that has done well in Europe up to now."

Lazio manager Marco Baroni chose to keep Dele-Bashiru in the team when he submitted the roster of players for the tournament's knockout stage.
