Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr becomes shareholder of LaLiga club

After leading the Warriors to four NBA titles and guiding the U.S. national team, the 57-year-old visited the island last summer to watch a Mallorca game.

 Kerr was welcomed on board by former Phoenix Suns president Andy Kohlberg, who became Real Mallorca's president and majority shareholder after this summer's restructuring. Kerr joins two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, who is also a Real Mallorca shareholder.

The Warriors head coach who will lead Team USA in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, said:

“I’m a friend of Andy Kohlberg and we were talking this summer. He told me about the change in ownership and offered me the chance to be part of the new investment group. 

“I’m really looking forward to it, I was in Mallorca last summer to watch a match, supporting the team and becoming a fan. It’s a very exciting opportunity.”
