FKF Cup draw: Shabana to face AFC Leopards as Tusker to renew aquaintances with Homeboyz

AFC Leopards will be facing Shabana in the round of 16 of the 2023/2024 FKF Cup with an eye on bettering their third-place finish last season after knocking out PAC University on Sunday.

Shabana themselves, who were promoted to the top flight last season for the first time in 17 years, have struggled for league form but will be fancying their chances of going as far as possible in the competition under Sammy Omollo ‘Pamzo’.

In a rematch of last season's final, Kakamega Homeboyz is set to face Tusker FC in the 16th round of the FKF Cup.

Homeboyz emerged victorious over the Robert Matano-coached Tusker side in the previous season, securing a CAF Confederation Cup ticket but were later eliminated in the preliminary round. This encounter presents Tusker FC with an opportunity to avenge that loss.

Other intriguing matchups in this round include the impressive Bungoma Stars, who have already eliminated both Bandari FC and FC Talanta, facing off against another FKF Premier League side, Sofapaka FC. Ulinzi Stars is scheduled for a clash with Kariobangi Sharks.

Denmak FC, the talk of the town after eliminating Gor Mahia in the round of 32, is set to take on National Super League (NSL) side SS Assad, while Salim Babu's Police FC is poised to host Mombasa Stars in what promises to be an exciting round of football action.
