FIFA celebrate Super Falcons legend Asisat Oshoala’s early heroics
World football’s governing body FIFA, have taken time out to celebrate Nigerian star Asisat Oshoala, remembering her heroics at the U-20 Women’s World Cup.

On their official X account, FIFA paid homage to the Super Falcons’ star with a video of her highlights at the 2014 U-20 Women’s World Cup, captioning it, “Agba Baller, from the very start.”

The video showed Oshoala at the budding stages of her career in the youth competition as she starred in Nigeria’s second-place finish at the World Cup.
Oshoala was the star of Nigeria’s campaign in 2014, scoring seven goals and claiming the Golden Boot and Golden Ball as the competition’s top scorer and best player.
Oshoala’s stellar career
Following her incredible showing at the 2014 U-20 Women’s World Cup, Oshoala has fulfilled her potential, enjoying an incredible career.
After her heroics at the youth tournament, Oshoala was part of the Super Falcons senior side that won the 2014 African Women’s Championship and was crowned the African Women’s Footballer of the Year for the first time that same year.
Oshoala also became the first African player to win the UEFA Women’s Champions League, doing so three times with Barcelona in 2021, and 2023, and 2024.
The famed “Agba Baller” has also been crowned the Best Women’s Payer in Africa four times in her career, more than any other player in history.
