The midfielder is expected to be sidelined for another "three or four weeks" after being forced off during an Under-21s match.

This latest injury comes after the Harambee Stars prospect has already spent more than a year out of action with a knee ligament issue.

Eliot Matazo’s previous injury history includes issues that sidelined him from the AS Monaco squad, often requiring focused rehabilitation to regain his match fitness.

Currently, the midfielder is dealing with a new injury concern. While the specifics of his latest ailment remain closely guarded by the team's medical staff, it has forced a pause in his recent momentum on the pitch.

Eliot Matazo’s recovery process involves a tailored program designed to ensure he returns at full strength without risking a relapse, according to his coach.

Despite these physical challenges, the Harambee Stars prospect remains a highly regarded talent with a resilient mindset.

"Our target is that he's completely ready for pre-season," Jakirovic explained to BBC Radio Humberside. "We will see. If there is any chance to play, we can do that, but first of all, he must be healthy."

Hull City Other Updates

In more positive news for the Tigers, striker Oli McBurnie and midfielder Amir Hadziahmetovic have both recovered from the illness that saw them miss the 2-1 victory at Wrexham. The pair will be available for selection for Saturday's match against West Bromwich Albion.

Right-back Lewie Coyle is also set to be fit for the trip to the Hawthorns. However, winger Mohamed Belloumi is not expected to start, having only just made his first appearance since December in the game against Wrexham.

"We will try to increase his minutes in the next game," Jakirovic said of Belloumi. "It's very important that he stays healthy. We will see, I can't predict the future."
