Drogba brands Sanwo-Olu his brother: Chelsea legend to bring E Series to Lagos

Ivorian football legend Didier Drogba joined forces with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in a high-profile meeting in Monaco.

This encounter, captured has sparked intrigue and excitement, blending the worlds of sports, governance, and entrepreneurship.

Drogba renowned for his illustrious career with Chelsea FC—where he scored 104 goals and secured a UEFA Champions League title in 2012.

His presence in Monaco through innovative ventures like the E1 World Championship, where he is bringing electric boat racing to Lagos.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a key political figure in Nigeria’s commercial hub of Lagos was also there.

Drogba posted the photo on his official social media platforms.

Along with the photo was a message that said, "It is always such a pleasure to spend some quality time with my brothers, my Dear Aliko Dangote, Excellency Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Secretary General UN Tourism Zurab Pololikashvili.

"Yesterday in Monaco we officially announced that Lagos in Nigeria will be hosting Africa’s first E1 Electric Boat Race @e1series."
