Adeleye, 25, who currently plays for Greek club Volos FC, has recently gone viral after pictures taken at the Super Eagles camp in Uyo circulated on social media.

Fans have noted the striking similarity between Adeleye and Onana, the Cameroonian goalkeeper who joined Manchester United from Inter Milan but has experienced a challenging time at Old Trafford.

Initially, Adeleye asked fans and the media to stop comparing him to Onana following reactions to their resemblance, as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria.

However, during a YouTube interview, he conceded that the resemblance is noticeable. “Yeah, I think we look alike,” Adeleye said, though he revealed he has not met Onana yet but hopes to do so one day.

More than just a physical resemblance, Adeleye expressed his admiration for Premier League giants Manchester United.

He clarified that his support for the club is independent of Onana’s presence, saying, when asked what club he supports, “Man United, no (not because of Onana).”

The goalkeeper added that playing for Manchester United is a personal ambition, stating simply, “Someday.”
