The estranged wife of Dani Alves, Joana Sanz has once more returned to the tabloids.

The beautiful Spanish model, who is reportedly pushing for a divorce from the imprisoned Brazilian defender was recently called out on social media for attending a wedding with several friends on the same day that Dani Alves was prosecuted.

Sanz has been in the news since Dania Alves' arrest earlier this year after he allegedly raped a 23-year-old lady in a Barcelona nightclub.

The 40-year-old former Barcelona defender is currently in temporary detention in Brians II prison having been seen his appeals for bail thrown out the window by the court of Barcelona.

Joana Sanz has now spoken out ahead of her husband’s potential sentence in the ongoing case of sexual assault.

In a statement granted to journalist Leticia Requejo of 'El programa de Ana Rosa', Joana Sanz was quoted to have said via Dario AS.

 "I don't give a damn," Joana Sanz said of Alves and his legal situation.

 "I totally pass, let Dani do and undo everything he wants. I don't want to know anything that has to do with him."

Sanz also took to her social media channel to launch a strong message believed to be aimed at her estranged husband.

"Women want a man to admire, not to educate," the Canarian influencer wrote on her now-deleted Instagram story where she currently boasts more than 971,000 followers.

Recall that Sanz had suggested making a U-turn in her plans to divorce the Brazilian footballer, having initially denied the reports.

However, her latest actions could now mean that she has once again changed her position on her relationship with Dani Alves.

Sanz who reportedly wants to divorce the 40-year-old footballer has so offered her support to Alves and has also visited him in the Brians II prison where he has been incarcerated for several months.

 A few weeks ago, Pulse Sports reported that she also dedicated some warm words to Dani Alves on the occasion of his 40th birthday.

Dani Alves faces fresh setback in sexual assault case

On August 2, the investigation of the case reportedly ended and Dani Alves was prosecuted for a rape of a young woman, 23 years old, on December 30.

The Brazilian defender, who has been jailed since January, expressed his disagreement with the judge's decision, but clarified that he will not resort to prosecution to "expedite" the procedures and reach trial as soon as possible.

According to reports in Spain, the Barcelona Court must now establish a day for the trial. 

A view that is expected to occur at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2024. 

Alves could face between 4 and 12 years in prison if he is found guilty of sexual assault.
